When it rains, it pours.

Weather- Rain ALL day long. Miles: Sam- 12.5, Jane 12.5, total 25. Walking total 270
Had a great nights sleep in Rosalithir B&B, many thanks to Catherine and Finbar who were truly wonderful hosts- we will be back.

Sam managed to see a physio in Ballydehob, who suggested some strapping (pink a la Gareth Bale), and he thinks it helped today, so thank you very much to that physio, believe her name is Cathryn (apologies if that is wrong).

Deviation from planned route because we were advised to see certain places, so mileage was walked on the Misen and Sheeps head peninsulas. The scenery was lovely, but I'm sure it would've been stunning in better weather. Didn't stop raining all day, but still quite warm, so gently steaming in my waterproofs.

spiders webs are very strong to hold all this rain!

celebrating 250 miles!!

Had a nice lunch in Eileen's cafe in Ballydehob, interesting visit to the bank there as well, which is only open one day a week for a very short period. There was no computers, so I couldn't get money out with my card, but could put some money away from our collecting, so although there were no weighing scales, she trusted that I filled the bags up correctly.

Staying at O'Sullivans sea lodge in Durrus, thank you Georgia for your hospitality. What with the O'Sullivan clan last night, I feel like I've come home (I was born an O'Sullivan). Will upload photos tomorrow because I'm writing this in a restaurant as the B&B has no Wi-Fi. Hopefully no rain tomorrow!

  2. Sorry about the lack of wifi, we are still on dial-up here, though the town land of Durrus has broadband. It really is a pain.
We are happy to sponsor you on your travels and hope to see you again.
