Blarney Village

Walking- 0 miles, but hard work nonetheless.
Weather sunny and very warm.

Day off today from walking but frankly feel more exhausted from a days fundraising. Woke up to the following scene:

The day was spent collecting in Blarney village, where the famous castle and the "Blarney Stone" can be found. There are lots of tourists who were very reluctant to part with their cash- getting blood out of the Blarney stone might've been easier. Still, collected about 260 Euros, so not as bad as it felt. Joined by Kate and Nell my cousins, thanks so much for keeping us going- well certainly Nell's lovely wraps, coffee and cake did. Nell, it was really great to see you after all of those years.

This evening, followed the Rough guide's advice and headed for Boqueria, a really fantastic Tapas bar with great food. Had a small glass of wine, what a devil! Lovely ambiance with live music, so overall a very nice way to end the day.
